Google Sitemap Tips
Many webmasters want to know:
"How can I get my new content indexed in Google?"
One tool that can assist with indexing is Google Webmaster Central. The problem most webmasters have with this program is the format for the sitemap file. It isn't in HTML, it is an XML feed. Now while the XML feed may not be the easiest thing in the world to accomplish, it IS effective. I found a free third party sitemap generator called GSiteCrawler that worked great.
Having an effective sitemap (and a little patience) are only parts of the puzzle when it comes to getting your new content indexed. The quantity and quality of incoming links from authoritative sites also play a role. Those of you that generate new content faster than Google indexes it are the lucky ones; There is no substitute for high-quality content. Eventually, with your valid sitemap inhand, Google will crawl through and index all that new content.
