Google AdWords Tips

Google is the dominant tool in the field of search engines. According to recent studies, Google is responsible for more than 70% of the clicks to sites that are searched through search engines. Google has devised a way to push Internet marketing to a whole different level. Because of its market dominance, Google has been able to set up a pay-per-click system which matches sellers and buyers. This is the basis of Google AdWords.

What is Google AdWords? Google AdWords is one of the most promising advertising opportunities in the Internet arena. It's a pay-per-click system that advertises websites that have the highest bids for a search word or phrase. Perhaps you've noticed the "sponsored links" on the right-hand side of the Google search engine? They are the AdWords advertisements. These are websites which pay to be shown whenever a certain phrase or word is searched through Google.

Businesses bid for their preferred keywords when using the AdWords system. Bidding in the AdWords system to get prime spots is based upon two factors: the click-thru-rate and the amount of the bid. The amount of the bid depends on the bidder. Bids range from a nickel per click to as high as $50.00 per click. The system charges the bidding price whenever the website is clicked through the AdWords system. Another factor is the click-thru-rate; the rate at which people are clicking the website. Typically, the top three sites on the AdWords screen are the most popular and have the highest bids.

Here are a few thoughts to consider when starting to use Google AdWords:

Consider the different strategies that you want to employ in terms of the selection of key words and the combinations of these words to be able to maximize your returns. Be sure to target the right market regarding language and countries which you want the ads to appear. You don't want to be charged for clicks from people who don't belong to the target market.

The creation of an AdGroup is also a basic step in the AdWords system. You should be able to visualize and design an enticing ad and select the right combination of keywords. The ad should contain a title text (maximum of 25 characters) and a body text (maximum of two lines/35 characters each.) The main challenge in designing ads for AdWords is attracting customers and getting them to click the website. The link in the AdWord should be a web page wherein they find important information or the "products" section of the website.

These are just the basics of what Google AdWords is all about. Be diligent in studying the aspects of this system and you will get the most out of it.
