Google Updates Froogle
Posted on September 9, 2003
Google has announced some tweaks
to their online product search engine Froogle.
Even though the site has been upgraded, it is still
in beta.
New features include a new sorting
feature, sort by price. Results can be sorted by either
low to high price, or high to low. (The sort link is
on the left on the results page.) There is also a new
view called "Grid View" (at the top of the
results page.) If you choose the Grid View of results
you will get the image, name, and price of results only
(grouped four across) and not the description.
Why are all
these features on the results page? This is the third
change; simplified navigation on the results page that
gives access to how results are sorted as well as quick
searching of categories relevant to your search.
