Yahoo! Launches WebRank

Yahoo! Search has introduced a new system which seems to be very similar to Google's PageRank system. Yahoo! has releases a new feature integrated with the new beta version of the Yahoo! Companion toolbar called WebRank. WebRank is a function which determines a rank of a page, on a scale of 10, using the data collected from the companion toolbar.

While it is clear that the WebRank system is not a part of the algorithm yet, it will be once it gets out of beta testing.
