Yahoo! & Google Ban Casino & Gambling Ads

The onling gaming industry just took it on the chin today with search giants Yahoo! and Google announcing that they would no longer accept paid advertising from sites dealing with casinos or gambling.

This decision will go into effect at the end of April, and comes from heat by U.S. Prosecutors due to Internet casinos based abroad. Since the offshore casinos are operating illegally in the United States, Yahoo! and Google could be dragged into court for "aiding and abetting" the casinos.

It seems clear on Google's side that they do not want to risk negative press as their IPO looms near.
