How to Put Good Ideas into Action
by Jerry West
J. Jacobson once remarked, "A good
idea is like a wheelbarrow; it will go nowhere unless
you push it."
This same concept can be applied to
your sales plan. You may attend seminars, take classes,
read books, listen to tapes and videos, or pick
up good ideas from various resources. But you will
only get a decent return on your investment of time,
money and energy spent in collecting these new ideas
after you implement them.
Write down all the ideas you have
gleaned from your training. Spend time reviewing
them. Pick at least one idea each week and develop
a plan to put it to work - immediately.
There is a wealth of information available
to help all types of salespeople. But this information
is worth nothing unless you turn this knowledge
into action.
