Privacy Hackers

Protect Your Privacy:
Your privacy is always under fire. Protect yourself by not falling for new tricks. There was an Internet Explorer bug (it has been corrected in verion 7) that allowed for website links to show anything the sender wishes. For example, on odd string of code could be used to make it look like a page is from Google when it really isn't.
This bug in Internet Explorer allowed a link to be modified with the "at" symbol (@) to allow a redirection.
Identity thieves used this loophole to their advantage and stole thousands of credit card numbers. Be wary of any email that you get asking for private information, even if the site looks legitamate that you are taken to. What these thieves do is they copy a legitamate site on their own server, send you an official notice, you click the link, and instead of going to the actual website, it goes to theirs, but the address bar shows the real website, thus tricking you into thinking you are at the right site.
Have a safe holiday season, and watch the PayPal, eBay, and Bank emails with links.
